About Cedar FIeLd

Thomas Lodge returned to the Midwest to find some rural land unpolluted from decades of conventional farming.

Cedar field had not been farmed in over 50 years and was surrounded by maple woods, thriving with diverse plant and animal life.

With the help of friends and family, Thomas broke fresh ground in 2019, using only shovels and walk-behind rototillers. That spring was a refresher course in Midwest humidity and mosquitoes.

We've expanded quite a bit since, adding more greenhouse and bed space, yet maintaining our focus on premium growing beds and preserving the biodiversity of the land.

We enjoy what we do and love to share

our passion with others. The NW Ohio and SE Michigan small farmer community is growing, and we're happy to be a part of it.
